As an educational program with the aim of mitigating the many societal issues stemming from systemic racism and inequity, we are proud to serve a predominantly non-white community, working to offer musical mentorship to those who would not typically have access to such programs. However, we recognize that such words and sentiments are not enough. We are committed to tangible, structural change in our communities, from the ground up. We are committed to making our program and community a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds and races. We are committed to combatting the systemic racial inequities that too often make participation and success in programs like ours so difficult for so many.
